The notion of place exists for me as memories, which are de-constructed and re-constructed in photographs.  Perhaps it is the fear of loosing the history of self that pervades my desire to make remembrance of experiences enduring in photographs. Photography, a medium through which memories are archived and history is re-presented, is symbiotic to the nature of my work.

My work began and continues to evolve around the question of displacement and identity - geographically and psychologically. My impulse is to create images that expand my sense of self beyond the construction of identification through ethnic origin and place of citizenship.
